1st Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial Event & Steffes Wissota Street Stock Tour - June 13th!
Drivers and Fans: One of the biggest motorsport weekends in Jamestown is almost here! The 1st Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial takes place on Saturday, June 13th at 7:00 PM sponsored by Don Wilhelm Inc. & your Heartland Chevy Dealers, S&R Truck Plaza, and I-29 Trailer Sales in Fargo & Bismarck, ND. It will also be the first visit of the Steffes Wissota Street Stock Tour to the Jamestown Speedway on June 13th. The top drivers from around the region WILL be HERE!!
Classes Running & Expected Payouts:
- Bombers (Central Dakota Pure Stocks) - $222 to Win!
- Wissota Street Stocks (Steffes Tour) - $1,222 to Win & $111 for 11th!
- IMCA Modifieds - $2,222 to Win & $222 to Start!
Event Format:
The IMCA Modifieds will run a special format of two sets of 10 Lap Heat Races. Drivers will draw one number during registration as the first set of heats will be set normally. The second set of heats will be an invert of the first heat (Ex. If you start in the front of the first set of heats, you will start in the back of the second set, etc.). The combined total of the drivers' passing points from both heat races will determine the B-Main and Feature lineups. Following the Heat Races, there will be a 15 Lap B-Mains and then a 30 Lap Feature main event.
The Bombers and Wissota Street Stocks will run a traditional format of Heat Races, B-Mains, and Feature main events.
Pit & Entry Fees:
- Pit Fees: $30 (Adults - 13 & Over), $10 (Youth - 6-12 Years Old)
- Wissota Street Stock & IMCA Modified Car & Driver Entry Fee: $50
- Pit Fees will be paid at the front gate and are not required to be purchased online through MRP.
General Race Day Information:
- Pit Gates Open: 4:00 PM
- Grandstands Open: 5:30 PM
- Draw Cutoff: 6:00 PM
- Pre-Race Ceremonies: 6:50 PM
- Racing Starts: 7:00 PM
Grandstand Admission:
Adults (Ages 18 & Over): $20
Students (Ages 12-17): $5
Youth (Ages 12 & Under): FREE!
Tickets available at the front gate and not available for online purchase. There are a limited number of advanced tickets available at M&H and Neighborhood Grocery in Jamestown
Live Streaming/Race Broadcast:
- Dacotah Speedway TV (DSTV) will be live on Saturday at the Jamestown Speedway. Races will be broadcast live for fans and drivers that can't attend the Memorial Race.
Contingency Awards:
Many Contingency Awards for drivers and Fans!! These include: Leaders of laps 2 & 22 of the IMCA Modified Feature, Fan Giveaways, Hard Charger, Longest Tow, Event Sickies, T-Shirts, etc. Additionally, Dakota Dirt is offering two IMCA Modified and two Bomber drivers with fee entry into the event if they have never raced at the Jamestown Speedway before.
