3rd Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial Event, Steffes Wissota Street Stock Tour, & Rebel Wissota Midwest Modified Tour - June 11th!
Drivers and Fans: One of the biggest Motorsport weekends in Jamestown is almost here! The 3rd Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial takes place on Saturday, June 11th at 7:00 PM sponsored by Wilhelm Chevrolet Buick GMC & Your Heartland Chevrolet Dealers, and I-29 Trailer Sales. It will also be the 2022 visit of the Steffes Wissota Street Stock Tour and Rebel Wissota Midwest Modified Tour to the Jamestown Speedway on June 11th. The top drivers from around the region WILL be HERE!!
Classes Running & Expected Payouts:
- INEX Legends
- WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds (Rebel Tour) - $1,522 to Win!
- WISSOTA Street Stocks (Steffes Tour) - $1,522 to Win!
- IMCA Modifieds - $2,222 to Win, $222 to Start, & $122 for Non-Qualifiers!
Event Format:
- The IMCA Modifieds will run a special format of two sets of 10 Lap Heat Races. Drivers will draw one number during registration as the first set of heats will be set normally. The second set of heats will be an invert of the first heat (Ex. If you start in the front of the first set of heats, you will start in the back of the second set, etc.). The combined total of the drivers' passing points from both heat races will determine the B-Main and Feature lineups. Following the Heat Races, there will be B-Mains and then the A-Main Feature Event.
- The INEX Legends, Wissota Midwest Modifieds, and Wissota Street Stocks will run a traditional format of Heat Races, B-Mains, and Feature main events.
The WISSOTA Street Stocks and WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds will also be running for an increased purse of $1,522 to WIN! The WISSOTA Street Stocks will also be running as part of the 2022 Steffes WISSOTA Street Stock Tour. The Tour will run a three-day series starting at the Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, SD, on June 10th, then continue to Jamestown on June 11th, and end the weekend at the Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon on June 12th. The WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds will be running as part of the 2022 Rebel WISSOTA Midwest Modified Tour. The tour will run a two-day series starting at the Jamestown Speedway on June 11th and ending the weekend at the Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon on June 12th.
Memorial Event & Fallen Drivers:
- The Don Gumke Memorial Race is going to be special event in a variety of ways as Don inspired so many drivers across the country and was one of the nicest persons that you could meet at the track. Therefore, all of us at the Jamestown Speedway wanted this event to be special to commemorate a great man.
Pit & Entry Fees:
- Pit Fees: $30 (Adults - 13 & Over), $10 (Youth - 6-12 Years Old)
- Wissota Midwest Modified, Wissota Street Stock & IMCA Modified Car & Driver Entry Fee: $50
General Race Day Information:
- Pit Gates Open: 4:00 PM
- Grandstands Open: 5:30 PM
- Draw Cutoff: 6:00 PM
- Pre-Race Ceremonies: 6:50 PM
- Racing Starts: 7:00 PM
Grandstand Admission:
- Adults (Ages 18 & Over): $20
- Students (Ages 12-17): $5
- Youth (Ages 12 & Under): FREE!
There are a limited number of advanced tickets available at M&H and Neighborhood Grocery in Jamestown
Live Streaming/Race Broadcast:
- Dacotah Speedway TV (DSTV) will be live on Saturday at the Jamestown Speedway. Races will be broadcast live for fans and drivers that can't attend the Memorial Race.
Contingency Awards:
- Many Contingency Awards for drivers and Fans!! These include: Fan Giveaways, Hard Charger, Longest Tow, Event Stickers, T-Shirts, etc. Additionally, the Stampede Shake Down team is offering two IMCA Modified, two Wissota Street Stocks, and two Wissota Midwest Modified drivers with fee entry into the event if they have never raced in that class in the past 5 years at the Jamestown Stock Car Stampede or raced in the 2020 or 2021 Don Gumke Racers' Memorial.
