This SATURDAY, JULY 9th is a big night in Jamestown as we will be hosting opening night of the Dakota Classic Modified Tour. Expect close to 100 IMCA Modifieds from around the country and dozens of IMCA Stock Cars as well.
Last weekend was a blast (literally and figuratively!) as the annual Don Wilhelm Stock Car Classic concluded the Stutsman County Fair. A full field of was on hand in all classes, included a record 15 Junior Slingshots! Unfortunately we got to see our first crash in the SlingShots as Jacoby Traut went for a tumble between turns 3 & 4. Thankfully those little cars are pretty safe and the kids are wearing all the same safety gear their dads do on the big track so Jacoby walked away unharmed, but with a good story to tell for sure. In the other classes Austin Giegle almost held on for his first ever feature win in the bomber class but was denied with a lap to go when Billy Carow sneaked in for the win. In the b-mods Brice Kuska went to victory lane for the first time since the last 4th of July race. Jeff Vogel claimed victory in a wild Street Stock feature race. In the A-mods it was Jason Grimes in the Flyin' 99 machine picking up his first feature win of the season in Jamestown.
